Blackhawk SOLAG HD Cold Weather Kevlar Gloves
Heavy duty tactical gloves partly made from the famous para-aramid synthetic fiber known as Kevlar. Developed in the 1970s, Kevlar is made to have amazing strength to weight properties. It also exhibits a high elasticity modulus, which proves to be very flexible, an obviously important trait to have for any type of tactical glove. Kevlar also greatly enhances tenacity and reduces creep, the tendency of a material to lose shape or permanently deform over time due to stress.
Notable Glove Features:
- Dual-layer cowhide leather palm
- Fingertip reinforcements
- Finger protection
- Leather-covered, molded hard-shell knuckles
- Adjustments for back of hand and wrist
- Nylon loop on wrist - Provides easy donning and carabiner attachment
- Enhanced grip
- Good for cold weather
The materials in these gloves can also provide moderate amounts of heat resistance and protective body armor for your hands, particularly in the knuckle area. The design is meant to provide optimal amounts of dexterity, flexibility, and protection. They may help protect your hands from damages by abrasions, blunt forces, chemicals, burns and cutting.
Kevlar is also highly resilient to extreme temperatures on both ends of the thermal spectrum. As low as -196° C and as high as 160° C (320 F) would barely effect the properties exhibited at normal temperature ranges. This makes the S.O.L.A.G. HD Gloves ideal in any environment from high desert to deep in the arctic.
Basic Glove Care Principles: To improve the longevity, simply follow these standard guidelines.
- Only hand wash - Use soap (antibacterial) and warm water.
- Rinse with cold water after washing.
- Pat with towel and let air dry - Do not use a drier
- Do not use with bleach!
Leather should be reconditioned on occasion due to washing, since each wash reduces the natural oils within the leather.
Ideally, keep gloves stored in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and in the original Blackhawk Products packaging.
